Candidates with a Masters degree from a recognized university are eligible to apply for PGT vacancies while graduates are eligible to apply for TGT vacancies. Selection of aspirants is done through a common written test. Interested applicants wishing to apply for these tests are required to do so online on KVS official website.

ELIGIBILITY FOR POST GRADUATE TEACHER (PGT)

·         Two  years  integrated  Post  Graduate  M.Sc  Course  of Regional  College  of  Education of NCERT in the concerned  subject; or Master Degree from a recognized University with minimum 50% Marks.

·         B.Ed or equivalent degree from a recognized University.

AGE LIMIT FOR APPLYING PGT POST- 45YEARS.

ELIGIBILITY FOR TRAINED GRAGUATE TEACHER (TGT)

4 years’ integrated degree course of Regional College of Education  of  NCERT  in  the  concerned  subject  with  at  least  50%  marks  in  aggregate  OR Bachelor’s    Degree    with    at    least    50%    marks    in    the    concerned  subjects/combination  of  subjects  and  in  aggregate.

AGE LIMIT FOR APPLYING PGT POST- 35YEARS.

PAPER 2^ND will be evaluated only if the candidate qualifies  Paper1  securing 5 marks each in English & Hindi subjects and 13 marks in aggregate in English and Hindi. The final merit will be based on the performance of the candidate in written test (Paper 2^nd)  and interview. The weightage of written test (Paper 2nd) and interview will be 70:30.

PAPER 2^nd  will be evaluated only if he/she qualifies  part I of the exam securing 4 marks each in English and Hindi subjects and 10 marks in aggregate. The final merit will be based on the combined performance in the written test and interview and the weightage will be 70:30.

KVS has decided that only CTET Paper-I (for classes I to V) and Paper-II (for classes VI to VIII) pass candidates should be allowed to apply as per the recruitment rules.
